    OUR MISSION

    The mission of the Lemon Bay High School Media Center is to ensure that students become critical thinkers and effective users of ideas and information. We will accomplish this by providing a comprehensive program that includes materials in all formats, instruction that fosters inquiry, and collaboration with other educators to meet individual needs and prepare students to be life-long learners. 

    Media Center Policies for Students

    • Media Center Hours:  6:45 a.m.- 2:15 p.m.

    • May check out up to 5 print books at a time

    • May place items on hold 

    • Print books are due back after 15 school days or may be renewed if not on hold

    • E-books return themselves after 14-21 days

    • Printing per page: 10 cents black and white; 25 cents color

    • Photocopies- 10 cents per page

    • Preloaded Kindle Touch ereaders are available for checkout

    • Playaways (MP3 audiobooks) are available for checkout

    Students may report directly to the Media Center during their lunch period if they so choose.  Students that would like to go to the cafeteria first to eat their lunch will need to check out a Media Center Lunch pass from the Media Center before 5th period.  Drinks with lids and small food items are welcome as long as ALL trash is cleaned up.  Lunch time in the Media Center is considered a "privilege" and will be treated as such.
